the confessions of Robbert crumb (1987) Robert crumb is an artist who became famous in the 1960s,he was known as a pioneer of the underground comics. In his animations and comics he didn't mind sharing to the public his deepest emotions,he would do this a lot more than other people in the era of his prime. He sees himself as a sexist and he depicts this in his animations/comics. His dad was a macho man and Robert and his 2 brothers were the poler opposite to him,Robert feels like this annoyed his dad and made him feel bad about him self for not raising strong macho boys. When Robert was a teen he got very into collecting and had a big attraction to old music,he thought it seemed more raw and vital,he believed he loved this stuff as he was a outcast to society. At 19 a pen pal of his invited him to stay at his house,when he moved he quickly got a job at a greeting card company.All throughout this period he saw still saw him self as a weirdo and reject, he drew pictures of his sexual fantasies then tore them up and threw them into the toilet.He then met a woman that was 18 when he was 21 and quickly got married. He talks about how he thought the only quality that attracted them together was that they where both just desperate weirdoes in need of attention. In 1965 he took LSD for the first time and it knocked him for a loop. Things were never the same to him he felt that normal reality was just a shabby cardboard flat reality compared to the meaning that he saw when under the influence of LSD.He split up with his wife then met with some people in the pub and they traveled to California,riddled with guilt he called his wife and she moved up there where they lived for a few years. He took LSD a lot at this point in his life,He believed he did not turn into a full hippy as he felt he was too narrow minded and stuck up. Robert then created a few new character including one called white man that was based on his father.White man was a character that was caught up in all these illusions about what you are meant to do with your life as a member of society.Another one of the characters was called The old Pooperooh This character depicted the working class man that just had to shovel shit all his life doing shit end jobs just to stay alive.He made one called angle food mcspade,she was a character that represented the vulture demonises in larger than life female like characters.Finally he made one called MR.naturall who was a cockeyed guru character.I believe all these characters defiantly influenced people and played on their morals.

First very rough ideas for animation (thinking about morals in animation)

Ideas for animation Grim reapers choice Grim reaper has to kill people for a living but he changes his mind and thinks twice about killing people in the end he chooses a different path. ----------------- sharing is caring There are a group of penguins that live in the north pole. The penguins are taught at a very young age to fend for them selfs and to shun out the penguins that are smaller and weaker for example in big huddles at night to keep warm and to catch food for themselves and their own families. There are two brother penguins that think they are the best as they catch the most fish, they are the biggest and strongest of the bunch.One day on a routine fishing trip they run into a clan of orcas.They swim as fast as they can to get away when they see a floating piece of ice, the brothers jump on it but to their surprise the orcas don't give up as they start to make waves to push them off in a team. For no apparent reason the smallest penguin of them all decides he will try and help them. The small penguin jumps into the water to try and create a diversion by splashing the orcas turn around and chase the little penguin. The small penguin has a plan to jump up onto the land behind him as soon as the brothers get away but as he tries to jump up he slips and gets caught. The brothers never think the same again and become mentors in the land of penguins and start to teach everyone that you should look out for your fellow penguin no matter how fast tall or strong. ------------------ The odd one out A farmer goes to an auction to buy some new animals for his farm he needs some sheep so he buys a herd of sheep. They get back to the farm,a few months pass when the farmer finds out one of the sheep is pregnant.The sheep is born but the sheep is black , life starts to go wrong for the black sheep and his mum. ….lot of stuff happens then one night a fox sneaks into the farm and tries to attack one of his bullies but the black sheep risks his life to help him.The white sheep on the farm suddenly realise he is one of them and views on the farm change that day.
